Time Saving Tips That Will Change Your Life

Posted on June 05 2017

If there’s one thing we’re always short of every day – it’s time. With more to get done on a daily basis, time saving can become somewhat of an art form am I right?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could get ready in half the time each morning, leaving you with more time to sleep, workout or prepare for your day ahead?

Take a look at our top life-changing tips below to get you ready for what your day holds…faster.

Pick your outfit the night before

Lay out all of the clothes and accessories you plan on wearing the next day. No more rifling through your entire closet every morning and haphazardly throwing outfits together. Be sure to check the weather forecast first so you pick an appropriate outfit.

Prepare for breakfast the night before

Smoothies, oatmeal, or yogurt and fruit are all a great start to the day. You can peel and chop fruit the night before to save you time, or even make your smoothie the night before and place in the fridge ready to go. There are countless time saving recipes that are perfect to grab and go like these healthy versions from Kristine’s Kitchen.

Don’t hit the snooze button

You might think those extra ten minutes in bed will stop you from feeling sleepy, but you’ll actually be even groggier than if you’d woken up when the alarm first sounded. A great trick to stop you from hitting snooze is by keeping your alarm clock on the other side of the room so you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Read our tips for getting a good night’s sleep here.

Use a cleansing conditioner on your hair

No more lathering, rinsing and repeating. Who has time for that? There are now a wide range of cleansing conditioners available that are shampoos and conditioners rolled into one. To save even more time – wash and style your hair the night before.

Multitask while you’re in the shower

Leave your cleansing conditioner to work its magic, and exfoliate your face and brush your teeth while you wait. This is multi-tasking at its best!

Wrap your hair in a microfiber towel

Microfiber fabric uses special technology to absorb large amounts of water, which will cut your blow drying time in half. Wrap your hair in the towel as soon as you get out of the shower, and leave on while you moisturize.

Invest in quality hair styling tools

A speed hair dryer will take your hair from damp to dry in half the time of a regular hairdryer. You can also opt for straighteners that allow you to work with damp hair, and fast heating curling irons. To save even more time, bypass the hair dryer altogether and test out these air dry products curated by Into The Gloss.

Go for a red lip

If a full face of make-up doesn’t fit your time schedule, simply opt for a bold red lip. This creates the illusion that you’re more made-up than in reality.

Use the same product on your lips, eyes and cheeks

Find a lipstick or cream that works on all three parts of your face to save you time, and create a monochromatic look.

Keep your phone, purse and keys in one place

If everything stays in one place, you won’t be rummaging around your house trying to find what you need each morning. Make life easier and designate a home for all your everyday handbag essentials.
